Describe a column in words, and see how a cell got its answer

Describe a column instead of filling in the form

Adding a column now opens on Describe your column rather than an empty form. Write what you want in plain words — the termination notice period, in days — press Generate, and the name, type, categories and prompt come back filled in, for you to read and change before anything is created.

Switch to form goes straight to the form if you would rather fill it in yourself. Editing an existing column starts on the form, and the sparkle button switches to a description that already knows the column, so a request like also accept months revises it instead of starting over; Back to form returns with every value intact. Create and Save stay disabled while you are describing, so a column is only ever written from a form you have looked at.

It is in both column popovers and in a table's Columns tab, as Generate using AI. It reads what you type and the column you are editing, never your documents.

Every answer shows how confident the model was

Every extracted answer has carried a confidence score for as long as there have been tables, and no screen ever showed it. Open a cell and it is now under the answer — Model confidence 84/100. At 60 or below it reads worth checking, which is the same line Home uses to gather the cells that need you, so the panel and the queue that sends you to it agree.

It is the model's own estimate of its answer, not a measured accuracy — the cited pages are still the check. On a cell you have overridden, the score describes the AI answer under your edit, and says so.

See who changed a cell, and what it said before

When someone overrides a cell, that edit has always been recorded. It now has a screen. A cell that has been edited shows Edit history, and opening it lists every change — who made it, what they set the cell to or that they cleared it, when, and the AI answer the edit was made against.

Nothing was lost while it was unshown, so the history reaches back to every edit your organisation has ever made. A cell nobody has edited shows no history at all.
